Bohler Steels

In Australia the Bohler Steel connection goes back almost one third of Australia's history, when the first alloyed steel was received in 1907. Offices soon followed in Melbourne and Adelaide. In 1928 the company demonstrated its policy by giving know-how to customers by posting an Austrian metallurgist in Sydney. After considerable growth in 1953 Bohler acquired the sales organisation of Poldi Steel, and registered Bohler Steels as a company making the first mill to end user link for high-alloyed steel in Australia. Between 1953 and 1999 Bohler Steels developed a network of 5 branches stocking Australia's most extensive range of tool and die steels, constructional steels, carbon & bright steels, semi & finished special steel products and tooling aluminium.
